Quiet People Have the Loudest Minds
I’ve had the opportunity to interview people of all ages and the questions vary from “What is your favorite color?” to more serious ones like “Have you ever been bullied?” My favorite one to ask is “What did you think you would grow out of but haven’t?” When I ask this question, I can see how everyone starts to self-analyze, their body posture changes and I can see the slight discomfort in their eyes as they try to dig deep within for an answer.
The answer is almost always the same, most people thought they would grow out of their bashful ways and with time they thought they would become more comfortable being around strangers and initiating conversation, but that trait doesn’t always change. Stephen Hawking once said, “Quiet people have the loudest minds" and Spottie is trying to bring together those who have a lot to say but don’t know how to break the ice. Many of us have the most beautiful minds, we just don’t know how to be outgoing and express our thoughts. However, the desire to form bonds of friendship are still there and we only need a little push.
After playing Spottie, approaching people and starting conversations has gotten easier and easier. The privacy features that Spottie has put in place also played a big part in helping me feel comfortable playing the game. Any information that is shared with other players is only what you choose to disclose. I enjoy watching people make new friends and break through mental boundaries. My question to you now is, "Are you playing Spottie?"
